TOGETHER WE CAN HELP!
A nonprofit founded in 2004, The Outreach Program has helped thousands of volunteers come together to provide over 780 million meals to the US and international feeding organizations. Through hands-on service projects, different community groups package thousands of meals that are high-protein, shelf-stable, and provide essential vitamins and minerals.
The largest portion of The Outreach Program’s impact centers around
food security. 95% of our meals stay in the United States to help feed those in need locally.
At least 14 million children suffer from severe acute malnutrition around the world.
“Throughout every city in this country, families are struggling to provide the most basic of resources on a consistent basis. In California, 1 in 5 people are living close to the poverty line or are one life event away from a financial crisis. And while the problem is heavy, and we’re reminded daily of the divisiveness in the country; bringing small groups of people together around a social issue is one of the reasons I love the work I do.”
